Mrs. Nancy McCain Symmes, the mother of Frank A. Symmes, Indianapolis attorney died late Monday at her home at Crawfordsville after a brief illness of pneumonia, according to word received in Indianapolis. Mrs. Symmes was born at Fayetteville in April 1857. She is survived by her husband, Samuel D. Symmes to whom she had been married more than 50 years; three sons, Clyde, Will and Frank and one daughter, Mrs. Henry Armstrong of Crawfordsville. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at the home. - kbz
